Mommy Daily Muse! :)

My life the sitcom...

I am about to make a confession. First, let me say that this was not premeditated. In fact, after the last tragedy tragedies, I swore I would never do this again. And, yet, here we are. I have murdered...again. SIGH.

My demise starts when my children bring home an innocent new life, planted with so much promise, in hopes of a bright future to fully blossom one day... Sadly, this time I committed mass murder because it was two of my children bearing me gifts; ironically, in celebration of me being a mother. A Shakespearian tragedy in the making...

I thought I was doing so well this time! Heck, I have had the two plants since Mother's Day and this is SEPTEMBER. I even made it to the point of actually knowing whether or not the pot would contain a flower or a vegetable-a world record for me!

I was diligent with the watering. Okay, so I forgot on occasion, so sue me.  But sometimes I would make up for it by watering them more than once in a single day. That has to count for something, right.

Well, this morning I noticed that we were beyond the wilted, please woman, give me some water, right, now, phase. I am pretty sure Code Red was called several days weeks ago, but I was too busy to notice. Uh, one of the plants is not even in the pot anymore. I'm assuming my husband already noticed its untimely passing and disposed of it or perhaps the cat ate it?

Today really is a dark day of infamy for me, I also see that I may have contributed to the death of Fuzzy the caterpillar that has been living with us for the past 3 weeks in a cottage cheese container. I have been meaning to let him out of captivity-today was the day! I released him this morning and he is still in the same place I put him, not a good sign. We'll have to wait on the coroner's ruling...perhaps it was natural causes?

I'm not sure what my punishment will be for these crimes since I am a repeat offender. Do you think there is a chance I will get sent away? Let's hope so...as long as they have chocolate, I am all for it!

Well, those plants were not meant for you.  And maybe, you will find yourself better in doing some other things :-)

I can't grow a plant to save my life.  I figure as long as I kill neither animal nor human in my care it's a good day.  Plants are on their own.

LOl My mother's day geranium lasted a whole two weeks. Maybe we should try and pass Kim's Law--no more plants created in school for mother's day or any other holiday! LOL

I can't keep a plant alive either. What's up with that?

I tried to keep the plant my son planted for me- i watered it and everything and then the cat really did eat it- so it may have happened to yours too!!  I agree- I hate when they send home live things from school because I ALWAYS kill it and then feel bad since it is from the kids!!  Great post!!
