I love breastfeeding and have breastfed 2 of my children. I am still currently breastfeeding my almost 18 mo old daughter and she's become so attached that now it kind of bothers me. I love the closeness we have and how she's still getting the best nutrients, but it is starting to feel a little awkward. I feel weird when people are asking my why I am still breastfeeding. When i come home from work my daughter runs to me and raises my shirt. It's the first thing she wants when I come in the house. She has to go to sleep nursing. I have not let my hubby touch my breasts anymore because I feel that they belong to her. It's all weird. Anyone else breastfeeding a toddler ?

My daughter fed her son until he was 2 1/2. She stopped because she was trying to get pregnant through IVF procedure and didn't want the hormones or medications she was going to have to take to get to him . He broke of it fairly easily. He is four now with a baby sister.
