my son is 2 and a half and i am sick of hearing about the way schools are so i am writing a list of things i do and do not want in any school i send him to this is jsut mainly a vent because i am agrivated

a english only school if you want to go to school you must speak english as for non verbal children well they should be taught in enligh if they need to use sign language then it should be american sign language and if they never speak well then language is not an issue

i want the school to have both sets of programs those for kids with special needs and those for gifted children my son i do belive is gifted but what if somethign happens and he needs to be in special ed do  i really want to change his school and his security NO so i want his school to excell at both ends of the spectrum

NO homework till at least second grade my child needs to be a child. once or two papaers a week is okay but i have seen kids with 5-6 sheetes of homework a night in kidnergaten that is not okay i am not a teacher it is not my job to teach him school work my job is a mother i will reinfoce lessons in my own way and teach my child morals and values but i will not redo what the teacher has done all day

art class music class and gym are a must kids need time to explore themselves creativly some kids do this through are other through music and others through sports i want part of his day dedicated to these things

a small student to teacher ratio i want no more than 20 students and if it has to go up to more than 20 than 20-25 thats fine but with an aide a trained aide who can actully help the kids not like some of themv where i live who jsut pass out papers and take kids to go to the toilet.

all food is allowed there is no peanut ban if your child has an allergy they can sit at a special table and eat there and the classroom be nut free but not the entire school that is just insane
