A cafemom, LuvMySFSGT, Ashley lost her husband Shane last friday in a motorcycle accident. His funeral was today and while I couldn't see all of it because I had to get back to Taegen I saw a lot of it.
In the pictures you could see that he loved fiercily and loved life.
You could see that he loved Ashley and Skylie more than anything in
this world. Ashley, you are remarkable. I don't know how you made it
through today. You're a beautiful woman, I am sad that we had to meet
under these circumstances, but I consider you a friend. You and Skylie
are in my heart, my soul.. I am here if you ever need it, I hope you
know that!
This is a tragedy that has reminded a lot of us, me especially, that life is just to short. Life is fragile. We are never guaranteed tomorrow. With this realization came sadness. I realized that I may not tell those I love the most, that I love them enough. I may not show them how much I care for them.
I am making a promise to live and love and laugh as often as possible. I promise to make each moment count, cherish every memory, and live each day like it's my last.
I want anyone reading this to hug their husbands and children, call their parents and best friends. Tell them you love them. Let them know you do, because they may not be here tomorrow.
Comments:
She is in my thoughts :( I read her story and sent her an email afterward. She is so strong IMO and I don't even know her. Still sending healing thoughts their way.
So true!, Life is filled w/so much that we care for! so many feeling and emotions that are complicated...its hard to think that all that we care for so deeply can be taken away from us in a blink of an eye..I try to tell my family i love them and i think about life and death a lot..and whats next and its just such a real thought its so heavy to me.
Well stated! I'm throwing some extra big love and laughter out there myself today. Thanks.
To Ashley: You and your daughter continue to be in my prayers.
