Today is the day that Muslims celebrate the conclusion of Ramadan.

My 10 yr old and I went to the Kansas City Expo center for the Eid prayer. There were thousands of local Muslims that gathered for this special prayer. They had two prayers scheduled so we would all fit.

I had to fight tears of happiness I was feeling to see so many Muslims in my community and the feeling that i had that many brothers and sisters in Islam. (I don't get out much, this might be why I was so overwhelmed, not sure)

Afterwards we went to a place like Chucky Cheese and there were at least 50 Muslims families there.

My son and I had an awesome Eid today. Alhamdulilah/Thanks to God

Forgot to add. I didn't know anyone there but still was overjoyed to sit there and be a part of it.

My son went to the men's section. We didn't sit/pray together.

We got a little lost from each other in the sea of brothers and sisters at the end but found each other 10 minutes later.
