YAY for phonics!!

I'm trying not to laugh right now...Nicholas, who is now in Kindergarten, tells me that he made up a song. He innocently sings, "You take the sound "gr", you take the sound "a$$", you put them both together, and you get Grass!"

So, I'm thinking....Oh....um...that's nice...."WHAT?! Where did you learn that?" And he says, in school. I'm like, "WHAT? That exact song?" And he said, "No, I made that one up myself when I was outside." I told him to try it with "G" and then "Rass" if he has to sing it at all, lol...and let's think of other words instead...

I'm trying so hard not to laugh!!!! I was thinking, "What kind of songs are they singing in SCHOOL, when he first told me, lol!" Whew...I was already thinking of the email I was going to send, questioning the teacher about this!!!

me either, I would have been rollin!! Too funny! You know Saturday while in the frozen foods in Walmart, my kids began to bicker and I tuned it out. Then I LOUDLY heard Dalton say "Mom I didnt say SHIT" I was like OMG what?? Apparently he called Annabeth a twit and she was trying to tell me that he said sh*t and thats when he blurted out that he didnt say it. I saw the lady in front of us with her shoulders going up and down she was trying so hard not to laugh out loud. Funny but sooooo embarrassing
