CafeMom Daily Theme : Would I take medication past its expiration date?

Depends on how far past the expiration date.  My husband works for a pharmaceutical company and he said that medicine only loses its potency after the expiration date - there is nothing "wrong" with it.  If it's less than a year, I definitely will.  Anything more than that I throw away because it's lost some of it's ability to work properly and what's the point in taking it?

I must be beyond my expiration date because my work potency seems to have dwindled...:)

I take Imitrex capsules

after the experation date I'm to leary about taking expired meds for my severe headaches.I don't know if they would continue to work
