If you choose a flu shot-- be informed!!

Flu shots may contain thimerosal, a mercury based preservative. Has you doctor warned you against eating sushi or tuna steaks on account of mercury in the fish? Why would that same doctor turn around and offer you a shot that puts mercury directly into your blood stream? Answer: doctors make money giving shots. Doctors do not make money selling tuna.

Flu shots come in a thimerosal-free formula. If you opt for the shot, make certain your shot does not contain thimerosal. Ask to see the packaging. Ask to watch the nurse or doctor draw from the vial. And Ask to see the Expiration date!! Don't let them give you last year's shot. It is your body, your baby, your money, your right to ask.

Information on thimerosal   Thimerosal is banned in other countries. The Eli Lilly corporation makes this compound. We all know lobbyists are very powerful (see state of our country in the last 30 years as an example) Thimerosal has also been linked to autism.

I am choosing not to get a flu shot for my pregnancy. I am fortunate to work from home. My partner and I are both taking Lysine supplements daily to boost our immunity to viruses.

I get flu shots because I always get sick from my son. Usually I get a runny nose and congestion but no fever, or cough. So I'd rather get a flu shot. I know if I did not I would be so so sick.....
