My three year old daughter has always had problems with allergies colds and flu. Lately after a series of test we discovered that she had a mild mold and mildew allergy. That discovery helped us to understand why she always had a cold, especially during the school year. Well yesterday I looked at her and just didn't like the way her eyes looked. She woke up this morning with a little fever. She said she felt fine and she didn't act sick either. As a concerned mother I decided to take her to the doctor even if she looked fine. The doc said that my daughter has "the flu virus", what does that really mean? She couldn't say for sure that she had the swine flu but since they have seen that in many kids she assumed it was. She emphasise that it is "the flu virus".  So what do I do now. Just let me say that my daughter has no symptoms and she hasn't laid down not once. I think that her allergies are acting up like they always do.  I still don't understand anything about the swine flu. I went to the store just to be cautious and bought tons of bleach, lysol, hand sanitizer and wipes . I do not want to over react but even though I do not think that she has the swine flu I would much rather be safe than sorry. Is there any mother out-there with such concerns as I? I would love to hear from you. What do you do when the doc said your child has the flu virus, do you treat it the same as the swine flu virus? Is it the flu virus?
