What an awesome evening I had! There was a Salsa Trail event in town tonight and my DH, DS and his GF all went to check it out. Thankfully I remembered to take a pill for heartburn before we left! We bought a platter of tortilla chips and sampled  20-25 different salsas! Some were outrageously HOT! But some were awesome, all different. I had 2 favorites and they were from 2 restaurants I  have not been to but now will since I love Mexican food! We also tried some jalapeno relish that will be wonderful on hamburgers, hotdogs, deviled eggs and even in potato salad. They also had the main street filled with hot air balloons! We walked the whole 5-6 blocks down and back! This meant alot to me since it was the first time in 7 years I have been able to do that. I have been in a wheelchair, on a walker or cane and unable to do it. My DH is our town Santa and I have done all the behind the scenes work for the main street activities but could not enjoy all of it until tonight. My hip was replaced and with an extension to make my legs same length. I had kept going and walking in so much pain that I wore the top of hip bone down to the nerves, Dr. couldn't believe I was still walking. It still amazes me that when my family saw the x-rays they were in shock~they hadn't believed me being in so much pain all the time! Anyway I accomplished so much tonight I am proud to say I had the best time I have had in YEARS! It was so nice to get OUT of the house!
