Here I sit, in my new home on the island of Oahu. I am happy, yet also sad....happy to be here with my new husband but sad to have only two out of my five kids here with me.
I met my husband while I worked in Vegas at Sam's Town. He came to the Club Coast and signed up for a player's card. We talked while I signed him up and he asked me out for a drink after I was done with work. I laughed and said "I dont get off till 2am". A few hours later, he came back and dropped off a piece of paper....I looked at it and smiled....he gave me his phone number. I usually don't get involved with the people I sign up but this one felt different.
I didn't meet him after work but I did call him the next day to apologize for not showing up. We talked for hours and continued to talk with one another the days after that.....for hours LOL. Two weeks later he decided to come back to Vegas...to meet my kids and spend time with all of us.
He returned and spent a week with us....he took us to CA, to Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland. The kids had a ball....I had a ball. The days were dwindling down and soon he would be retunring to Hawaii...we jokingly said "maybe we should get married". Guess what?....we did and have been very happy. He is the greatest thing that has happened to me.
He offered to relocate to Vegas but I did not want to live there anymore....I wanted to come home....to Hawaii. He did not want us to move without having a new home to come to....so he set out and bought us a new home.
We have been in our home since June and the girls have settled in very well. I am so proud of them and I love them with all my heart, My girls have never been to Hawaii, so moving from Vegas to Hawaii is a culture shock for them, but they have adjusted very well.
My other three kids are still in Vegas...with my exhubby, my sister and her hubby. I miss them like crazy and pray everyday that they will come and live with us....someday.....soon.
