Do you think a law should be in place requiring all Registered Nurses and Physicians to stop at traffic accidents if ambulances haven't arrived yet?

Yes. I will tell you why.

When I was 17 I got into a serious car wreck. The paramedics had to use the jaws of life to open my door to get me out. It took about 15 minutes before paramedics got there. In the meantime a wonderful woman stopped to help. She was a RN on her way to work. She held my head and neck (in case of a spinal injury) until the ambulance arrived. She also kept me as calm as possible and helped me out more than anyone ever has.

I believe that many lives could be saved if someone with professional expertise stopped to help. She may not have saved my life, but if my life was in danger, she would have. Anyone who is a RN or Physician has one goal -- to help save lives. This would fall into that category!
