I was laid off in February and our savings is gone, we need help!

My husband, who was a stay at home dad up until March of last year, lost his job shortly thereafter in July of last year. He has not been able to find a job since and was not working long enough to collect unemployment. We were okay financially until I was laid off from my job of 6 1/2 years in February. Well, going on 9 months later, our savings has run out and we are falling behind on our mortgage and other bills. We have applied for jobs up the wall but no one is hiring. I'm "too experienced" and my husband "isn't experienced enough".
