So, I've been back and forth on the thoughts of leaving school. I loved going and loved what I was learning, but there are just too many negatives about it. I've heard from everyone I know that has already graduated from there, that they can't get jobs. I've talked to MA that are working and say that students from Everest rarely get hired. I've even heard from people I don't know and they haven't been able to get jobs either. Every MA I've talked to that is working in the field either came from Marshall (4 yr college) or Ben Franklin (11 month course that can transfer credits to WV State Univ. to further the education.

At Everest you can't transfer anything. It's been a really hard decision, esp. since it's almost $5000 I have to pay back for nothing. Ben Franklin is only $2000 for the same course and they get jobs.

I would like to think that I'll go to Ben Franklin in July when their next classes start, but by then we'll be paying back two student loans and have 6 kids one of which will still be nursing. I really enjoy this field and want to go, but I'll just have to see what life hold in May next year, when registration is taking place. Hopefully this will be an easy baby and we can pay off dh loan with tax returns.
