Last night after dinner I made this Betty crocker box mix of brownie/cookies my MIL gave me (she knows the way of forgiveness runs straight through my stomach and I really wish it wasn't that easy).
Kris told me "Look prego, I know it's in there, but I don't want all that ~pointing to the brownie/cookies~ in there too"(lol) before he went downstairs... after giving Quintin a bath and the both of us putting him to bed (we have been doing a corroborative effort for making and getting dinner onto the table as well). A few hours later of his alone time he came back upstairs to eat some "browkies" (trying something new so I don't have to type that all out again and again), of which, by then I had only eaten 1/3rd of the pan, thank you very much.
Anywho, on to the point of why I am going to be cleaning the toilet today (despite the fact I have developed a phobia of cleaning bathrooms it seems). So he came upstairs and we BS'ed together for a bit while working on the rest of the pan of browkies. At some point "I" even shared some of my browkie with him (yup a pregnant woman shared chocolate with some one that wasn't dying, stop the presses!!!). Eventually we got ready to go to bed and he turned to me and said "by the way, I left you one browkie, and you forgot to make my lunch", as I always seem to.
To make this novel of food and love short, he left me the middle browkie in the pan. My favorite one! Even though I know that is the one he preffers to eat. I even swooned over it to him and he told me he knows that I like that one and that was why he left that one for me. Maybe I set the bar low, but that was pretty damned sweet and thoughtful of him to me.
Comments:
He's a keeper and a good reason not to be a lesbian. After all 2 women and a pan of brownies = cat fight!
Ahhhhhh, that is true love right there. A pregnant woman wilingly sharing her chocolate......and the one she is sharing it with leaving her the bestest piece. Amore! :D
