Dominick lost his first tooth last week, the day before turning 5! I almost cried!  He was so excited & happy & couldn't wait til the toothfairy came.  So his first birthday present was $1.00 from the toothfairy!  I still can't believe he is 5.  Looking at Desmond who is 2 months old reminds me so much of when Dominick was a baby.  And also when Solomon was a baby because that was almost 2 1/2 years ago & I just can't believe how fast it has gone.  I'm starting to think he's just going to be a "demanding" kid  (for lack of a better word) no matter what his age so I'm better off learning how to deal with it than trying to change it; eventually his persistence will be something I admire but right now it's kind of frustrating to say the least.  But he had a good birthday & is having fun with his Legos and 5 Little Monkeys boardgame!

These weeks with Desmond have just flown by & I don't know if it's because he's our last baby or what but he's growing too fast - he is 1 ounce shy of 15 pounds & wearing stuff that Dominick didn't wear til he was 5 months old (6-9 month clothes) - yikes!  The doctor joked & said he must be getting pure cream instead of just breastmilk!!  But I always did want a super-chubby baby & boy have I got one, the rolls on his thighs are just incredible!  He's pretty calm & quiet, just watches everyone & looks at everything, he's cooing a little & smiling like crazy; he's only waking up once during the night & what's funny is that it's the sucking on his hand that wakes me up because he doesn't cry unless he's been sucking a really long time & I don't hear him!

Solomon's going through a clingy phase, mostly with Daddy & Grandpa but also with one of my sisters who he sees the most of during the week, it makes me feel bad like we're not giving him enough attention and that's been the hardest part of having 3 kids now.  Daddy's been good at taking care of Dominick & Solomon when he's not at work and letting me take care of Desmond but then when he goes to hold the baby Solomon gets so sad.  We're so proud of him though for the potty training, he just went for it around the end of August and has done so good! He's in underwear all day, diaper still at night but only because we still have him in a crib instead of a bed; the downside is he still won't go #2 in the potty, he asks for a diaper & until we run out I'll let him have one.  He's had so much fun with the garden we planted in the spring; he'll go out & get tomatoes & have Daddy or Grandpa cut cucumbers & zucchini, he even found a small pumpkin that was already completely orange today.  He likes to carry the veggies around, (I think thanks to Veggie Tales) but he also eats them & wanted to eat the pumpkin today too : )

We'll see what changes October brings:)
