YOU WANNA WIN THIS I KNOW

My stomach has been killing me for a week now, I have had enough. I walked through Jenni Stuart Medical ER and  I put as surgi mask on my face due to the flu outbreaks. I was asked by the Registering nurse if I was experiencing flu symptoms? I told her no, but I also did not want to be either. I was told not to mask they were masking all flu symptompatients and I would be fine. Okay as I tuck my mask into my pocket and proceeded to sit . 7:38 PM. I am now taken back to my waiting area. 4 hours and 30 minutes later I still sit there on the bed. Flu patients in and out all around me all night. I ease drop on there treatments, out of pure curiosity and boredom. Every single flu symptom was dismissed by doctors and sent home to guzzle down water and take Tylenol and Motrin to treat the fever, that by the way, they weren't recommendedto treat unless reached 106.00 degrees. The doctors advised that testing for the flu and the H1N1 flu would be a waste of time do to inaccuracies and therefore resort to knowing yes you have the flu no we wont treat you.

I am sorry but at what point does a runny nose turn into your child's funeral arrangement? Doctors are not taking this serious. Parents are terrified and no one has an answer. If I were you, I would take your child out of school, avoid hospitals, because if you really don't have it you will by time you leave, and pray.

I promise parents are being laughed at by doctors. I heard it myself. Tamiflu only prolongs the illness by 3 days. The FDA rushed approval due to flu season, they have no idea what this can do to your child in the long scheme of things. Avoid crowds eat healthy and tell your children you love them before bedtime, you never know if they will wake, all thanks to our Screwed up system.

Actually 2 million people a year die from the reg flu, and swine flu 2,000. Just use common sense and wash your hands, eat healthy and take a vitamin, not saying that you won't get sick but you are more likely to be the one making yourself sick.

If you are shopping and touch your face- you just gave yourself a cold; it goes on and on. Use antibacterial wipes and wash your hands when you are done shopping and make your kids use them before they eat if they snack in their car seats.

As the old saying goes, " An ounce of prevention..."
