my son has swine flu

found out today that my 5 yr old has the swine flu, scary yes. I could hardly believe it when I got the call from the doctors office with the results. They prescribed tamiflu and they told me he can go back to school in a few days, I will keep him home the remainder of the week and see how the weekend goes.  Have you or anyone else had the swine flu and what do you recommend to help. I have to say this I am positive he contracted this at school, we dont go out and when I do my son stays home with my husband.  I am calling his school tomarrow to tell them and to see if others have it, and to also find out what their intentions are to maintain a sanitary environment for my child, I love his school and all the teachers there, but dont want this to spread,  now to sanitize my home some more, I have 3 other boys and really dont want them to catch it..

I hope he gets to feeling better soon!!! What were his symptoms? My roommates daughter is getting sick and I'm thinking she might have the flu...

he had very few symptoms.. fever, runny nose and a cough that sounded AWFUL (cough seems to be mainly at night)  otherwise he seemed to be his normal self.

Sorry to hear this, praying that the Lord blesses your family and see's you thru and a speedy recovery for your little man....:) It is so hard to keep little ones from spreading germs, they don' t realize the danger. My son is having some of the same signs, we go to doc next Monday....God keep are babies safe  and help with this awful outbreak of flu....Take care and thanks for sharing~
