For my birthday this week, I received an Ipod Nano, which I have been wanting for trips to the gym.

When I finally decided to open it up and check it out, I could not get the packaging open.  I didn't want to destroy it in case it needs to be returned, but after about 5 solid minutes of struggling and cursing under my breath, I got the scissors and hacked open the heavy duty plastic to dislodge my gift.

The instructions promise that set up will be easy, and while my almost 11 year old daughter figured out how to use the video camera, note taker, calendar, etc, on her own, I thought I could handle the download and setup of Itunes.  Welllllllllllll I thought wrong.  I've been sitting here struggling for half an hour, undoubtably downloading the wrong software, while hubby sleeps nearby on the couch in front of the tv, and I WILL NOT ASK FOR HELP!!!! Or at least, I won't ask him for help-but I may ask my daughter tomorrow after school to figure out how to set this @#@!@#$$#!!!! thing up!

I think I'd rather be untangling 20 strands of knotted Christmas lights than trying to figure out this 'easy' set process.

I have an iPod shuffle and the set up was pretty easy for it. I just connect it to my laptop (already have iTunes) and it recognizes it quickly. When you first get them tho they ask you to name it. And I DL everything from a diff site (Limewire) and got to file>add folder>(my limewire stuff is in documents so I got to documents>Limewire>saved and hit ok) and everything from Limewire then gets transferred to iTunes. OR you can import CDs you own onto iTunes and load up the iPod that way. you have to manually drag the mp3s to the iPod or make a playlist and hit your iPod tab and then fill from specific playlist. Hope it kinda helps.
