Seriously. I could live the rest of my life without hearing the following phrases:
1) Are they twins?
-No. They don't even look alike! And they are 18 months apart. Yes, I realize that is close in age, no we didn't plan it that way.
2) You have your hands full.
-Really? I hadn't noticed. I mean, geez, my life a breeze with a 3 and 1/2 year old (with Classic Autism), and 2 year old, and a 2 week old. You have no idea how complicated my life is... and yes, I more than know that my hands are full. I think the double stroller with NON twins and another baby strapped to my torso is indication enough.
3) You are brave for having them so close together.
-Yep, that's what I was going for... bravery. Put me in the Guiness Book of World Records. DUH. We did not plan on being fertile. In fact, we were both told the chances of us conceiving a child were slim to none. We didn't plan on having kids ever, but hey, it happens.
4) Do you know what causes that?
-Yes and we are apparently very good at it! We know sex causes babies... and every form of birth control has failed us. He just got a vasectomy. I'm waiting for my appointment for a tubal - which can't come fast enough.
5) Are you going to try for a girl?
-No! No, no, no, no, no. We do NOT want a girl! And didn't you just tell me my hands are full? I don't want a 4 th child, let a lone a girl. I'm perfectly fine with the 3 boys that I have. You must want me to have heart failure. No thanks.
That is all.

I also had 3 kids close in age (3yr old, 14 month old, and newborn) yes it is extremely hard - even on a good day. and my husband worked away from home so I did everything. The only thing I can tell you is that it gets better and you will be happy when they all grow up and you are done with everything (diapers, feeding , no sleep for you etc..) at once. Good luck and feel free to drop me a post if you get overwhelmed - it gets better.
