Well, it's that time of year again. Jerry is spending his weekends sitting up in a tree. Hunting season has started for bow. Jerry and the guys have been practicing and putting up tree stands. He went hunting yesterday afternoon and had a great story to tell me when he got back.
Jerry climbed up into the deer stand and was there no longer than 10 minutes when he saw 2 young deer. He sat watching them and thought to himself that their mama must be around somewhere. Sure enough, the doe showed up. She walked around and then Jerry lost sight of her. The woods are pretty thick. Well, he heard a noise and looked down and right there sniffing the ladder was the doe! LOL She looked him square in the eye, stomped her foot and just kept sniffing around. Jerry sat very still and watched her. He knew if he reached for his bow that he would spook her. As he watched he decided that he wouldn't take a shot at her. He would wait for a bigger one to come along. I'm glad.
I understand the whole hunting and guy thing but it bothers me when I know what he is going to do. I still praise and congratulate him when he gets his deer. I even take pictures for him.
The "deer cam" that's out in the woods captured a nice buck last weekend. Yes girls, an epidemic of "Buck Fever" has invaded our house.

What have I been doing? LOL The squirrels decided to use the stuffing from the seat of one of the deer stands for building their nest. LOL I just put the second coat of paint on the new boards that Jerry cut for the new seat. Tomorrow I will put new stuffing in and recover it. LOL
