Update as of Tuesday, Nov 17, 2009...Sarah continues to heal at Kennedy Kreiger and celebrated her 10th Birthday last month.  The kid's at school are so anxious for her get well and return.

Update as of Tuesday, October 13, 2009...Sarah is going to be OK Praise God...she will be leaving the hospital but not sure when.  Thank you for all of your prayers.

There is very sad news just received today.  There have been two deaths that have immediately affected our community.  The first happened this morning when dad Tim Wheatley was taking his daughter Sarah to school (where my children attend) and a UPS truck hit them.  Tim died and Sarah is in the hospital right now.  Please say some prayers for Beth...wife and mom...as well as Sarah and even the kid's at school who are closely affected.

The next is a great mom who volunteered so much at our school who also has a daughter where my kid's attend.  Yvette Shaffer passed away Friday after her long and diligent battle with a very rare form of bladder cancer.  We could not be any sadder right now for this news.

Your thought's and prayers for these families means so much.

aww that is such sad news :( Please give us an update on Sarah when you know something, her poor mom and of course everyone involved. I just found out a girl I had known back from my childhood just lost her battle with cancer Sunday night, she was a wife and mother also. All anyone can do for any of these people is pray or give support if they can.

Thank you ladies for your prayers and support emotionally.  And I promise to keep you updated on Sarah.  Her brother Dave is in a class with Bridgette.  It's hit us hard and we hope to help both families financially and emotionally.  You just never know....all you can do is love while you have the chance.  I've told Isaiah and Hannah but they just stayed quiet.  We'll see how they are when they come home today.

I just saw your journal now...I'm so sorry. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you. Such sad news.

I pray that the little girl contiues to heal. I'm so sorry about her Daddy. I'm sure that the driver of the UPS truck is in such pain about this happening as well. It's sad all the way around.

Also, I wanted to say that it's such sad news about the Mom/your friend who had bladder cancer. My Dad had a rare form of bladder cancer and praise God, he was healed because he did a different approach-they applied cow tuberculosis to the bladder and it killed the cancer! It was recently discovered when he had it (early 90's) and it is considered an alternative treatment. He just happened to move to Richmond, Virginia right before his diagnosis-and he lived right near the treatment center that did this. I wish your friend had a better outcome, it's so unfair for a child to lose their parent so early.
