I was given the pleasure of coming across this wonderful Etsy store
bouji & nouna. A great shop carrying OOAK handmade items. The style
of her work is amazing with some fabulous fabrics. She has many
different items from apparel to throw pillows and unique bedding and
gifts for the little ones.
I am so thrilled to be reviewing a product for bouji & nouna, She sent me one of her fab crib sheets, this one design called OP ART. made from a 100% super soft cotton Jersey Knit fabric.
So when it arrived I was extremely excited as I am also a sewer and haven't mastered the crib sheet yet.
It looked even better than pictured and came ready to give as a gift or for your own baby.
The material has the greatest pattern I have seen in fabric, and so
soft! The sheet fit perfectly on my standard crib mattress like it was
meant for his crib.
The colors in the sheet matched the theme
in his room for an extra bonus. I love their crib sheets, They have
many more available at bouji & nouna

Tell us about you .What do you create?
* I'm Inbar, The mom of bouji & nouna from Sunny Israel, I create a
unique and modern baby designs (bedding, decor, toys and apparel)
How long have you been doing this? How did you get started?
*Well, It's a bit of a tricky question for me... It's almost like
asking me when I've began to breath... My mom is a very talented
artist... She always sewed, painted... you name it - she knew how to do
it... She studied fashion design and was a teacher for craft and art
for years... I was born into a house were they were always fabrics,
ribbons and buttons everywhere. Me and my sister's favorite game was
searching for treasures on her fabric closet.
I've always painted and sewed, I used to sew my own clothing since I was 13...
The "bouji & nouna" adventure I began on 2007, after my son was
diagnosed as having SPD (Sensory Processing Disorder). He needed my
attention and so I left my job as a costumer service manger on a very
big communication company, and a very nice salary in order to be with
him .
Since I'm not the kind of person who can stay at home without doing
somthing, I've reterned to my old hobby of sewing and painting...
I was 7 month pregnant with nouna when I started looking for some high
quality baby products that would also be chic and with contemporary
feel.
Of course I haven't found any thing to my taste.. so I've bought some
fabrics and along with some beloved fabrics I had at home I created my
first bouji & nouna crib set.
I was amazed by the reaction of my environment... and a few weeks after
nouna's birth I've already got my first order, at first from friends
and family later on I've joined Etsy and started to get orders
worldwide.
Do you do this full time? If not, what else do you do for a living?
As I told before, I'm first of all a mom to the real bouji and nona -
my adorable kids - and after that to bouji & nouna designs.. So in
between my time with them I'm doing it Hoping to be able to do it full
time in the near future,
Who are your inspirations or influences?
Wow, that's a tough one... I'm inspired by so many things.. from my
kids, from fashion shows, magazines, nature... Everything can inspire
me in a moment... that's why I always have a small sketch book - for
all of those great ideas...
What is your favorite creation from your shop? Why?
I think I love every item on my shop and for different reasons, they
are like my babies so it's hard to chose one.. For now I'm in love with
my "Nouna's BOHO jackets" they are so sweet and showing the bouji &
nouna's feel very well... I'm also love my bedding collection. I love
the colors and patterns, I think that on this collection I've really
connected to my pure design senses...
