I got roses today. Not from my hubby or kids either. They were from my neighbor and her kids. They came over a few minutes ago while I was outside doing yard work. Her daughter came running up to me and said here we picked these for you.I said really thank you.Her mom goes they are to say thank you for helping us out the other day with grocieries.Sorry my spelling sucks today.Anyway I said you didn't have to do this I was just helping you out since you helped us out.She said yeah but you didn't have to.About two days ago her daughter came over asking for bread.I said ok and just sent her a whole loaf. Then I went to ask her mom if she needed anything else and she said some unexpected bills came up this month and they were short on grociries until next pay day.So I came home and raided my cabinets bagged up some stuff, like hamburger meat, spaghetti, sauce, peanut butter and some other thing. Then took that back over to her house. She said won't this hurt your family.I said no.I have 3 freezers full of stuff and my cabinets are over stocked.Don't worry about it.This should get you through next till next payday. If not don't hesitate to come to my house. She hugged me and said thank you.I didn't think anything of it.And today she was all tear eyed and saying thank you again.I said it isn't a big deal, you helped me last month when I had a severe sprained ankle ,you made sure my kids got back and forth to school.I was just repaying you.I said besides isn't this what army wives do help each other out when ones hubby is deployed.I said I know how hard it is when your hubby isn't home ,mine got home last november.Unexpected things happen.I said we had our problems in the past but we talked them out now I think of you as a friend. She said my hubby called yesterday and I told him what you did.And he said to tell you thank you for watching over his family when he can't.Then I got all misty in the eyes.I said just doing my job as an army wife looking out for one my sisters. When they left I came in and my hubby goes where did you get the roses.I told him and he said sweetheart I am so proud of you.Me and the kids have been baking halloween cookies all day.I am going to take her kids a couple of dozen here in a few.Sorry this got long.

How sweet.  If more people cared about each other and less about themselves our world would be a better place.

My brother is a deployed Marine, and his wife is having a hard time raising their son alone right now. As their sister, my heart goes out to anyone looking after others in this situation. Thank you for your kindness.
