Strides for breast Cancer 2009

Ladies ladies ladies.. today i did my first strides for breast cancer walk with my Bff and i must say it was the best five miles i ever walked. i am telling you from start to finish it was the most exciting, beautiful, moving and tear jerking event ever. ACS "American cancer society" really took care of us. we had free parking and bus pick-up form the parking location. when we arrived to the event everything was organized and the sea of pink amazed me..it was unbelievable 10,000 woman, men and children and walking and working for a cause and a cure:) making a donation was optional and easy. Their were people walking in honor of mothers, aunt, sisters, friends and relatives. "I walked in honor of every woman passed and present who has ever had the diagnose of breast cancer" before we started our five mile journey their was rally areas with radio personalities, music, local celebrities, sororities and fraternities. we started our journey and got a chance to see all the different shirts with statements of hope, pictures of those who lost their fight to cancer, local supporters, churches, etc. We chatted with the young and the old, we laughed, we smiled, we shared and we even celebrated each pain staking mile:)lol.. Anyway, they provided h2o to fresh us and a smile, cheer and clap of encouragement to keep us going. at the end of our walk.. a wonderful and well deserved snack was provided "cheese crackers and snack bars" and can i say ladies never has  cheese crackers looked so good:)lol.. like steak and potatoes!!lol So if you havent walked the stride for a cure, do it!  check out the American Cancer Society website for more info www.cancer.org. so Diva mom's go and give your leg support to strides for a cure.
