Afghan Pattern

This is for my DH for our anniversary on Dec 1. The colors can be altered, of course, which is the beauty of hand made gifts, lol. I am making this out of Granny Squares that each have 9 rounds.

DH's favorite sport's teams:
Dallas Stars (Hunter Green and Gold)
Arkansas Razorbacks: (Red and White)
Detroit Tigers (Navy Blue and Orange)
St Louis Cardinals (Red, White, and Soft Navy)*
Tennesee Titans (Blue, Navy)
Detroit Lions (Deft Blue and White)
*Adding the Navy Blue from their away caps to make them differ from the Razorbacks)

(A) 1 sheen Red Heart Super Saver 7oz (4) Hunter Green
(B) 1 skeen Red Heart Super Saver 7oz (4) Gold
(C) 1 skeen Red Heart Super Saver 7oz (4) Punpkin
(D) 1 skeen Red Heart Super Saver 7oz (4) Cherry Red
(E) 1 skeen Red Heart Super Saver 7oz (4) Delft Blue
(F) 1 skeen Red Heart Super Saver 7oz (4) Blue
(G) 1 skeen Red Heart Super Saver 16oz (4) Soft Navy
(H) 1 skeen Red Heart Super Saver 16oz (4) White

Hook- I/9 and Yarn Needle

12 total squares will be made. (First letter indicates the center color)
2 rounds 1st color, 2 with second, 3 with first, 2 with second

Square #1 A-B
Square #2 D - H
Square #3 C-G
Square #4 D-H-G (Note, last round is with G)
Square #5 F-G
Square #6 E-H
Square #1B B-A
Square #2B H-D
Square #3B G0C
Square #4B H-D-G
Square #5B G-F
Square #6B H-E

To assemble: Attach in 4 rows of 3 to make final product a 3 X 4 afghan. Connect with sc along seams to attach.
Assemble lin the following order:

4        5         6 
6B     4B       5B
3B     1B       2B

Finish by edging entire afghan with a sc or dc border around fully assembled granny squares.

Makes a great stadium blanket, field blanket, or picnic blanket. Also fits two adults perfectly for some snuggle time while watching a game.
