The Science Spot opportunities

One of the things I like about Cafemom is the opportunity to help others and share with them.  One thing I can do using this profile is share the opportunity to communicate with the Cafemom audience.  There are a few ways you can be involved with The Science Spot!

Write a guest blog post.  So far only one mom, clairandamjones, has taken advantage of the visibility this opportunity can provide. Read her post about the California Academy of Science.  Cafemom's only science blog gets an average of 1000+ views in a week, is consistantly on the popular journalists list and is sometimes sent as a bulletin to over 300 group members and friends.  Writing a guest blog gives the readers to chance to read science in a style other than my own, and you get a chance to learn, write and maybe get a journal on the popular list!  I know of at least one other guest blog post that is in process (and I can't wait to see it!)

 

 

Send me an image.  This idea comes from an image gift RanaAurora surprised me with this weekend.  I'll be featuring her image as a signature and on my page later this month, so look for it.  You could also make me something original for for journal blog header, profile background or an image for my page.  In order to comply with copyrights, they must be original images.  I'll use every image I am gifted, as I have in the past.  This gives you an opportunity to make something different, surprise me, and get your work viewed by an average of 1000 people each week!

Ask a question or send in a blog idea.  I answer all questions immediately and I keep a list of blog ideas, which numbers over 200 right now.  Suggestions from readers are generally worked on sooner than the other ideas I come up with, as my schedule allows.

Help with The Science Spot Group.  We are nearly 300 members and I am looking for an admin team to help generate interest and answer posts.  No question ever goes unanswered on The Science Spot!  Message me if you are interested in helping with the group!
