Yup, I'm grumpy.
I'm so damned tired of people being offended by information. It's NOT bashing, you idiots.
"I got my baby's ears pierced and I feel horrible about it. I didn't want her to have allergies."
"Actually, infant ear piercing can GIVE a baby SEVERE allergies to nickel (which is present in almost ALL jewelry). It's like starting solids too early."
"Don't bash me!"
Or, how about we try this one on for size:
"I tried giving my daughter formula last night and she's been puking and crying all day today."
"Formula messes with her internal flora and is likely to give her a tummy ache, gas, and even constipation."
"Leave me alone! I want her daddy to feed her sometimes!"
Ooh, or this gem I've seen multiple times:
"I turned my 10 month old's carseat forward-facing."
"Shut up! Who the hell are you to tell me what to do?"
What is WRONG with you? Where's the bashing? Since when is factual information "bashing"? Why would you prefer to be INSULTED rather than learn? No wonder kids today are so damn stupid and have no respect for authority figures.
"Jimmy, what's 5+5?"
"No, that's wrong, it's 10."
"Don't tell my son he's wrong! Don't bash him!"
Seriously, you sound just that stupid, folks. Believe it or not, there ARE areas of black and white, right and wrong in this world.
FACTS are not insults.
FACTS override opinion.
FACTS are NOT opinions.
FACTS say nothing about you as a parent unless you choose to think that FACTS are personally insulting.
Once you decide that facts are worthless and offensive, and everyone should just pat everyone else on the back instead of giving out correct information, you're an idiot, and that's a FACT.
