Friend with advanced ovarian cancer

She is my age, 48  We were friends in junior high and high school.  We married brothers.  She and my brother-in-law divorced over 20 years ago (they have 2 grown children).  Havent' seen her but a few times in those years.

Anyway, she was having pain and they discovered the cancer.  At first they were saying they can't do chemo, just keep her comfortable.  But now they are trying something.  Please pray for her recovery.  Her name is Michelle.

Praying hard for her. I just had a full hysterectomy at 40 to reduce my risk of breast cancer. My Grandma died of ovarian cancer and my mom and aunt have/had breast cancer. Mom and I have the BRCA2 gene. I hope someday soon people won't have to go through what your friend is going through. (((HUGS)))

wow...my best friend's name was michelle to...she passed away from Hodken's Disease 3 years ago.

I wanted to ask though, what kind of pain did she have? I went into the ER with horrible left side pain and after a day in there and ct's they said I had an enlarged left ovary but didn't seem to concerned about it. That was about 2 months ago and the pain came back earlier this week...but I endured it and it eventually went away. It worries me though.

I am sorry for your friend.

The procedure they did to try to strengthen her seems to be helping, so I think they will be trying chemo.

The chemo did not work.  They give her maybe 6 weeks.  So sad.

Michelle passed away on my daughter's birthday, January 8.  Her son and daughter are doing OK, but her daughter often posts on facebook about missing her so much.  Prayers for Dana's comfort are appreciated.
