* $ help info is towards the bottom of this post*Those of you who know me know my now that I'm always taking something four footed in. It has always been this way since I was a kid. I ride my bike and have a cat or dog follow me home. When I got older I would take my friends animals they no longer wanted or if they found a sick animal they'd show up on my door step with it. Teenage years came and so did boyfriends. What did I do? When my boyfriend and I would break up if I didn't like how they were treating their animal I would take it. I wasn't living with them but I would convince them to give it to me. I got a cat and four dogs (not all from the same guy) this way. My driver licence just gave me more opportunities. I see something furry by the side of the road and bring it home I got more more dogs and cats this way then I can remember. i see a animal digging through a trash can or I'd almost hit it with my or whatever and home I brought it. I got married and it continued. I actually and a mother mixed pit bull and her puppy show up on my door step. The had burn marks her front teeth were kicked out and they were deathly skin. My mother just laughed and said well they heard you moved so they just thought they'd show up on your door step. Of course I took them and fixed them up too. Last month I was at Mcdonalds and when I reached my hand in the window to get my egg mcmuffin and dog jumped up between the window and my car and tried to grab the bag. I pulled forward got out of the car and caught him and took him home. he was the most friendly loving kissing pit I ever saw! Full grown, pure muscle, silver color male. One thing my mother also told me when I would take animals in is not to touch and pit, never go near one, they're crazy and can snap at anyone for no reason all the sudden, ect. Since I've grown and moved out of the house I have done some of my own research and found this to be mainly false. They need alot of exercise and to know whose boss and such but all in all they're good dogs. So I educated myself and overcame my own prejudice against pit and I rescued him. I found him a wonderful new loving home when no one claimed him. Which brings me to today. I was bringing Asher to kindergarten and almost hit a boxer! I kept going because he finally got off the road and there were alot of house. I didn't want him to be late for school. I dropped him off and on the way back I saw he was still there and I got concerned. I pulled over, of course, and called to him he was very afraid of me. He would get close and coward wag his little nub of a tail but if I tried to touch him he'd run. After about 20 minutes of me sitting on the wet cold grass he came to me and let me pet him. But only with my hand up turned and pet under his chin. if I tried to pet the top of his head he would yelp and slightly growl. He would flatten his body on the ground and whine, he thought I was going to beat him...his owner must be abusive. H was also bone thin and staving for food and water. I asked around and no one new who he belong to. One woman was calling him and he came but if she touched him he would growl. I asked her fr some food and she brought out a hot dog. i broke it up in little pieces and put one on the ground that he gobbled up. I continued this. Then i got him to where he's gently take it out of my hand while I fed him she slipped a leash onto his collar. I was amazed how well he did with the leash. No pulling or tugging he walked great and hopped into the car. I then started my round of calls. Organizations, vet offices, anyone who would take him and adopt him. I didn't want to take him to the pound!!! His head is very square, I think he might be mixed with a little pit, I'm not sure, he could also be a purebred. Anyone there's a man who's interested in adopting him that came recommended from a vet that he's very nice. He coming to look at him very soon hopefully he'll take him. If he doesn't well....anyone want to adopt a boxer? LOL This is him in the picture in my car below. It's not very good I held the camera over my head while driving just so I'd have a picture of his cute face ;-)

*UPDATE* Those people didn't want him. Probably because he's not a puppy :-( so if anyone of Florida wants a boxer here we are!!! I have someone coming to look at him on Sunday but I'm still taking names, if anyone is interested, in case she doesn't take him. #2 He doesn't like cats but he likes other dogs. And he absolutely just LOVES kids!!! Also, F.Y.I. a vet looked at him and said he's a PURE BRED BOXER, no pit in him. I'll try to add some better pics of him tonight after the kids go to sleep so check back later! #3 The woman who was suppose to call yesterday about him still hasn't so i don't know what's up with that. I think he could be trained to be ok with cats. When on a leash he sniffed and waged at one of my cats but when off the leash he barks at them. He didn't eat much yesterday but ate fairly well today so long as I sat by him. He was so cute every couple bites he took he's come over and "thank" me by kissing me all over then go back to the food and then back to me again, ect.! He needs someone to play with, I gave him dog toys and tried to throw a ball for him and the poor thing had no idea what to do with it, I don't think anyone ever has played with him. :-(
Here's what I know. Pure bred boxer. Not neutered, please fix him if you take him and keep the pound empty! Has a small lump on his back which appears to be a harmless fat lump because it's smooth and not attached to anything, caner is normally attached to something and the lump is spiny feeling. He LOVES kids, likes other dogs, hates cats, likes men and women, and walks good on a leash, he doesn't walk right by your leg but he doesn't pull you either. He only cries when he's in the crate but outside it he's well behaved. He a lover, I call him my gentle giant. He thinks he's a lap dog although he's huge! He loves to cuddle with you in bed...warning: he snores really loud though LOL. If you want to adopt him I will call your vet first to make sure you take good care of your animals and that you always get them fixed. he needs a fenced in yard and someone who has lots of time to love on him and play with him.
Please vote POPULAR so I can find him a "fur-ever" loving home ;-)

Here's the new pictures! ;-)

Please give him a loving home!

He's a very handsome dog, I wish I could take him, but with 7 cats, I don't think he'd be a very good fit... I hope you find somebody!
Oh my goodness he is so handsome my heart just breaks, I pray that someone gives him a good home and soon. Thank God for people like you!!!!!!

oh he is adorable .i am afraid i have my hands full with all the animals i have in my house. i hope you find a home for him soon. good luck with it!!
you're doing a good thing! quick question = this just came to mindwhen reading your post and by no way am I trying to start any kind of drama...(I think what you do is amazing)...but what if the person who wants to adopt doesn't have pets and, therefore, has no vet...how do you determine how good this person is?? It came up before so I am wondering:)
Awww, he's so cute! I wish you luck in finding him a home. I'd take him myself, but I can't afford to take myself to the doctor, let alone pets, so I have no pets at the moment.
Good luck, and thank you for what you do for all of these animals. There should be more people like you in the world!
