To Work at Home or To Not Work At Home, That is the Question.

I have been reading about mom’s on CafeMom. It truly hurts my heart to hear the desperation in these mom’s hearts. They want so desperately to be at home raising there kids, instead of running off and working 40-50 hours a week. Between working and sleeping, not much is left for the kids, or the anyone else for that matter. So are they doomed to a life of complete exhaustion and no choices?

Well, thank goodness, No! There are opportunities galore out there for mom’s who want to work at home. Sifting through the “fluff” to get to the “real deal” is a process that can be extremely disheartening. Determining whether it’s a scam or not, is sometimes hard to figure out until after you’ve lost money and time. Soon after invesigating work at home options, mom’s are introduced to this new vocabulary of MLM, Network Marketing, Direct Sales, Pyramid Schemes (yes, this one is illegal), uplines, downlines, sponsors, leads, prospecting, and many others. I found that most of these carried a very negative connotation. Unfortunately, that is disappointing, because Network Marketing is a real solid business that has gotten a bad rap.

I personally have taken part in several Network Marketing businesses, and failed everytime. Your probably saying, “what is this woman trying to tell me”.  Well, I had a million excuses for why, but in all reality, it was because I was marketing to the wrong people. Another problem I faced was the fact that I was going broke before I could even get anything going. Well, I again had a million reasons why. But the facts were, I was not informed of strategies that could allow me to make money while I built my business. Today I am building my primary business (a network marketing business) and using affiliate marketing to build revenue to help market my primary business. It’s truly about finding the right combination of approaches in online marketing that make sense for the point in business building you are at right now. And believe me, there are alot out there to choose from.

If you have found yourself struggling to find a way to work at home so you can have more freedom of choice in your life, struggle no more. There are so many resources available to you that have been created by people that have had your same problems. Seek them out and you will find hope. These are not get rich quick schemes. They involve work, but the rewards are whatever you are willing to put into this. You do have choices. You can stay home. You just have to start asking people who have already succeed. Ask them how they did it.
