October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month which means you'll see more Pink that you typically do all year round this month.  Not only will you see Pink but also more "out of the box" advertising from companies promoting their support for Breast Cancer this month.  Whether it's pink contents or pink packaging, more and more companies are adding pink to their label this month in support of the fight against the widespread panic killing over 2600 women this year.

Beyond all the pink that's out there we're also seeing more provocative ads supporting the disease.  One specifically that's been all over the news is of a women walking around the pool in her two-piece with the camera focused on her chest watching her breasts bounce while she walks and men & women alike are seductively eyeing her as she passes.  The end of the advertisement has her pulling her shirt up with the message "Save the Boobs".  Part of me says, that's catchy for marketing's sake, but the other part says we're not marketing a beer or brand of swimsuits here, we're creating awareness for a deadly disease that's killing a large number of women each year.  So, the question is do we continue to take issues like breast cancer and create so much of a stir in the media that we have to ask the question is it too provocative and is the message really getting across to men & women?  I realize that our 20s and younger gen are numb to a standard PSA just talking about the risks of cancer and need something edgy and direct to get the point across, but I think we're sacrificing the core message for a controversial advertisement.

So, if watching these ads is too much and you're looking to branch out and get more involved with breast cancer, you can invest in a new innovative treatment in the holding zone waiting to be released to help those with breast cancer. Mentor Capital Inc. (MNTR) and Quantum Immunologics out of Tampa, FL are currently in FDA trials patent pending an immunotherapy treatment for breast cancer. They have seen over a 50% success in clinical trials 1 & 2 for women stage 4 with multiple complications.  Even if you don't see a huge return personally on your investment it is still going towards a good cause.

http://breastcancerinvesting.com will give you a deeper look in how to invest and get updates on the treatment.  Breast Cancer is not sexy, so make your mark this month and give back through making an investment aiding in saving lives.
