A new breed of monster has crawled from the depths of my imagination...
And fallen a bit short. Here's my first rough draft at Christmas stocking/smaller monster bags.

I left limbs off this one because he was -supposed- to be a quick project, testing out my first attempt at creating my own pattern, and then I ended up spending about 6 hours sewing these spots on by hand (would have went quicker if Gauge wasn't helping, I suppose!) so I guess in hindsight it wouldn't have taken that much effort to add some limbs to the guy. I have red material I'm going to use for the next one, along with Christmas fabric to line it, and Julia and Jenna are begging me for pink ones. >.<
Here's that tutu I was working on for my friend at work:
That's fourteen yards of fabric! It's for someone the size of Trace, lol! I have another tutu order sitting here that is black, burgandy, and purple that is really cool. I'll make a pic of it later!

Thanks! I really like him, but I learned a few things - next time, I'll sew the spots and eyes on before I line them! :-) I am hoping these are as big of a hit as the larger bags. ^_^
Yeah...sewing on the spots before you sew him up will save tons of time because you can use the sewing machine and will make things go super-fast! BTW - I really love the fuzzy "lips"...sooo cute!
I tried using the sewing machine and just couldn't sew a good circle with it! lol. That's why I hand stitched all those spots. >.< I do like the end result a lot though!

Oh the little spotted monster is sooo cute! Those spots you added are adorable...but do take some time if sewn on by hand!
