When we first started dating, we fit together so perfectly!

How did the proposal take place?
In Niagara Falls, NY.  We were talking about our future, moving (back) in together and how we wanted to live our life, and he asked me to marry him!  When we came back to Missouri we went ring shopping and he proposed again at our apartment

What kind of ring was it?
my engagement ring is a single solitaire diamond

Who did you tell first?
His dad called while we were at the store, and Robert called him after he proposed.

January 9, 2004

9? Small wedding, it was perfect

Nope, we had music just playing from CD

Nope

We had a suite in overland park, one day we'll go on a cruise or trip. I have my whole life to love him, I don't need a huge trip for that.

Not really

Nope, not yet

Do you plan on having any children?
We have two of the best children! They weren't planned though

Where will you live?
We live in Foley, Al now, we're moving to Kansas City

What do you both do for work?
He works for Meyer Realty doing Front Desk/Guest Relations, I am a wife & mom, photographer and server

Do you think the marriage will last?
Absolutely!!!

How long have you been married now?
almost 6 years

Are you happy?
Yes, I couldn't be happier

If you could change one thing about your wedding, what would it be?
I wish we would've had a little bit bigger one, but I'll get all that when we renew our vows! Our day was for us and only us.

What kind of marital advice do you have to offer someone?
Be honest, open, and love them with all of your heart. If they are not your best friend and someone you cannot live without, you shouldn't marry them!

Almost 54

How far away do you live from your mother in-law?
A couple of cities away

Do you wish you lived closer or farther away?
Farther... Come August, I'll get my wish

Does your mother in-law like you?
Nope, but I really don't care. I'm a wonderful wife, mother to my kids and an amazing person... I really don't care what other people think about me

Nope

We don't allow that anymore

Again, not allowed

They don't really know them

Nope, that's been an issue for them, but oh well

I used to, until I wasn't a good replacement daughter for her

My mother in-law: Has a jaded view on life and thinks her daughter walks on water, and if she could remove her blinders we would probably get along a lot better.

My father in-law: I think means well, but needs to understand my kids are MY kids and his grandkids...

I can't stand when: People think they know what's best for me and my kids.

I love it when: I get to spend time with my hubby and kids and relax and enjoy our amazing life.

If I could change one thing: I'd make enough photography money for us both to quit our other jobs.



If you have children:
Does your mother in-law babysit? She used to.

Does she charge you? She did, or just had us bring out food that she would feed her other granddaughter, it's ashame when parents can't provide for their own.

Does she spoil your child(ren)? She kinda did... More like messed them up, she didn't exactly always do what their well-being was.  A fruit roll-up is not a serving of fruit.


What do your parents think about your new husband?
ehhh ha ha, he's not really my "new" husband, but their opinion doesn't matter. We live for ourselves.
