Today was Jacob's trip to the pumpkin farm. This was his first field trip he's ever been on. He did quite well. I went along as a chaparone. I had Jacob and 2 other boys. They were really good. Despite it being a little cold it was fun. There were turkeys and ducks. The kids got to feed some goats. After the animals we went through a corn maze, which was a little confusing. The kids seemed to know the way more than the adults though, so that was pretty funny. There was a puppet show that told how the pumpkins grew. Next was the hay ride, which was pretty cool. Along the way there were Halloween decorations scattered along the trail and the driver was dressed like a pirate. After that they all got to pick their own pumpkins. It was kind of awesome how farm people put smaller pumpkins in one area for the little kids. That made it easier for them to pick pumpkins they could handle. After lunch it was time to head back to school, which some kids including mine fell asleep. It was a busy, but fun day.
