Children in poverty

Take a moment to think about how many children we have in America that are impoverished, on welfare, homeless, malnourished and lacking in adequate health care.  And yes...its for another school paper but it is still a pressing issue, especailly in today's economy.  I am a welfare mom, I work part time and go to school.  My husband is worthless and I bet there are so many of you out there that are like me.  Well this is your change to voice an opinion.  Tell you story or tell about a friend of yours.  What issues do we face, or if your not a welfare mom, tell us what you think about the poor kids in America.  Why are they poor? what can we do to fight the poverty and help the homeless? Come on ladies, help me out here.  I have done the research but I want to hear from real people, real issues and I promise you that you will get mentioned in my paper.  Thanks for you time and help.
