Have you ever sat and wondered what your child will be when they grow up? What they will be like? If they will follow through life with the morals that you instilled in them?
I've caught myself sitting back watching my boys on occasion, almost catching a glimpse of who/what they will be.
I often wonder if I'm giving them enough of my time, enough of a foundation, enough room to grow and learn. If our morals are getting through to them. If we've taught them right.
My boys are only 4 and 6 but they are little people now.
This week even though my oldest was sick and suffering from an ear infection he kept asking me if I was ok, if he could get me something. What a precious little boy he is.
Tonight, as we were eating supper (I work from home so I was eating and working), I said hey where's my mac and cheese and my youngest said give me your plate and he held it and spooned some mac and cheese on my plate.
It's these moments I wish I could capture and treasure forever. These little things that gives me a glimpse into the what the future may hold for my babies.
It's these things I need to remember when they're screaming and fighting with each other or screaming NO when I tell them something. It's these moments when I should pray and say Thank you.
Thank you not only for the gift of their lives but for the gift of their father, my husband, who have taught our boys so much about being loving and caring.
I love all three of you :-)
