So, getting five kids and two adults ready to go to a pumpkin patch is a little tricky and time consuming - but we did it and had a blast!
Despite feeling like the worst mom ever for not putting G in a coat before we left the house, it was the greatest trip to a pumpkin patch ever!
Before the hayride, we explored Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead. We went in the barn that housed the cows

then we checked out the Indian village, complete with teepees and a bearskin rug, head still attached

then we went into the goat pen, which was a huge hit with the kids

Then we finally made it the the hayride! A few of the kids weren't sure they were going to enjoy the hayride and made sure EVERYONE knew about it. >.< But after the horses got us going, it seemed to be okay with everyone.

(my family - Denise, Jenna, Emma, Ryan and Julia)

Tessa, Evan, her husband Trevor, and baby Alex. :-)

Jen and Cayden. :-)
Then we arrived at what appeared to be an Autumnal wonderland and the kids all ran off in different directions to enjoy activities like

a giant slide

fishing for pumpkins or skulls or something...

or a mini basketball game (and that's skeeball over to the left!)
Finally we corraled all the children NEAR the pumpkins, enough so to pick out a few.

Gauge in the field of pumpkins!

Ryan picked out his in NO time!

Gauge finally decided to let me get a picture of him with his - it was huge!
After all the kids picked out their pumpkins we took another hayride back to find out Trevor and Tessa's wagon had been borrowed! lol After they got it back we let the kids play for a while in the barn play house thing, and a few starving kids later, we headed on our merry way for lunch at McDonald's then back to our warm, cozy home!
Today was so great! It was so good seeing all my friends and I think getting out put all the kids in a much better mood after being cooped up inside for weeks. :-) Our pumpkins are on the back porch awaiting carving on Monday, the sky is finally cleared of clouds, and tomorrow is my last day at Home Depot, then it's stay at home mommy Cody! :-D

This is my favorite picture of me and G ever! I saved it for last because it was a great end to a great trip, and I thought it'd be a great end to LONG photo heavy post. lol! I hope everyone enjoys a great Autumn!
