Earlier today I wrote a journal on CM about SecureNet which includes ID Theft Protection.

The subject line was "Life Changing Events Don't Have To Be Scary"

Two (2) hours after posting this, I discovered my check card had been compromised!!!

Someone used my check card number today to make 12 purchases totaling $541.00!!!

Thankfully, I have fraud notification protection with my bank.  They cancelled my card and my account will be credited for the full amount while the claim is under investigation.

I'm still physically shaken over this. 

It  IS very scary - almost like being physically attacked I imagine.

Please, PLEASE don't wait until something happens to think about protecting yourself against one of the fastest growing crimes in America - or in the world for that matter. ID Theft is getting worst and did you know there are different types of ID Thefts? Yep. For example, there've been increases in Medical ID Thefts. This means someone uses your personal ID information to obtain medical care and you find out later that their medical history is now YOUR medical history!!!

I have to tell you, after what happened to me today, I know, THAT I KNOW my $24.95 month SecureNet membership is well worth ever dime!!

Ok, stick a fork in me - I'm done.
