As a child and younger woman I spent many years being angry about everything life had handed me. Fortunately, I was 'born again' one day and realized that my being angry and "spouting off at the mouth", as my mom always put it, was internal.
My temper has been easy-going for years, I look at things from a more "grown-up" perspective and rationalize everything possible in order to react in a more positive way. The results and impact upon my own life have been tremendous.
Life is simply entirely too short to let much control your mind and reactions. It's human to feel anger, but when it's easy to light a short fuse, perhaps it's best if a person learns to self-reflect and find whatever it is that is making them so miserable that they feel the need to lash out. I now keep my distance from people just like that and surround myself with people who have more self-control... the end result, again, has been fascinating and a lot more enjoyable!

Excellent. I totally agree! I feel the same way about anger.
