FINALLY!!!!!

I am super excited about today! My husband has a daughter from an ex-girlfriend. In the past she has threatened to take him to court and other things, but when we finally had enough we took her to court. Up until last year, there was no proof that my husband was the father so we had a DNA test done. As you can tell, he was the father. Because he was never in her life, we have had to go through extreme measures to get her used to him. In April, I was told I could meet the girl with the mother present, IF the mother felt like doing so. Well, when I got there, the mother took the children away. I still have not met her. Now we are to the overnight visits. We live in Texas and the daughter lives in Alabama so we took a family trip up here to visit her. According to the mediation they had a couple months earlier, I was able to be there. The mother told my husband after we got to Alabama, that I was not allowed near her daughter. I could not stay the night while she was with him, nor could I even stop by. We called our lawyer, who then got a court order saying I could be there the whole time. Well, the next morning, they threw out that order. The new order states that I am not allowed to be here through overnight visits, and was not allowed to be here during the day for the first two days the little girl was here. Well today, I can be here during the day but still have to leave at night. So on our 6 day visit, I have to be away from my husband and children for 4 nights, and most of 2 days. Doesn't seem like too much, but it is AWFUL! I am excited that I get to meet her today though. We are going to take her to Chuck E. Cheese. Oh yeah, this is the first time that she has ever met my children too. Well, I thought I would share that I get to meet her FINALLY!
