Hate...why hate?

why judge a faith it's not too late.

Learn, yearn for peace, for hope,

so all of us can somehow cope,

there is too much pain filling our lives,

why poke with anger's sharp cruel knives,

see, speak, ask what you fear,

take a minute to open your mind, hear.

open your heart to understand,

hold a hand, take a stand.

who hates Islam? I ask so confused...

the faith that has been long misunderstood, abused.

who hates me? for what I believe?

may I not for my people, pray and grieve?

Who am I to look at you, say that you are bad?

I dont and yet you look at me, not seeing the hardships that I've had.

Who hates my God? who can disrespect in this way?

who can ignore what their own faith does say?

I am not a hater, of that I am glad,

I do not say any faith is so bad,

I do not judge a soul I don't know,

I do not bring my honor that low.

I do not wish harm on any culture or way,

but injustice I hate, and this I will say.

I hate injustice, I hate it so, I hate the way my people must go,

I hate the blood stains on Israels hands, I hate the torture spread on our lands.

I hate the horror of a child who must die, all because of one big lie.

I hate the evil that has entered our hopes, we live on without sympathy or tears.

But I will cry, and I will pray, I will stand up if it takes me years,

I will not stop, till the bullets do, I will not give up hope or faith, will you?

I have a question about your poem above. You mentioned this about the Israelis,"I hate the blood stains on Israels hands."

Do you also hate the blood stains on the Muslims hands as well?

ok girls.....first to lynnsl.....I did mention blood on ISRAELS hands, not jewish hands, there is no point in saying a faith is to blame, we as muslims beleive that jews christians and muslims are all ppl of the book and ppl of paradise....there fore I cannot and would not say that jews are to blame....israelis however are whole different kettle of fish, just like the so called 'muslim' terrorists.....they have no right to associate themselves with a faith, same goes for israelis...they are not killing raping and devestating lands in the name of God....they are doing it in the name of greed.....

how come the muslims and christians where able to live on the holy land all this time in peace untill ISRAELIS came along.

muslims have protected jews for centuries, we have lived side by side with them in peace from the start, our prophet Muhammed (pbuh) used to bring fruit and zamzam water to his sick jewish neighbour who used to torment him and throw rubbish at him, but the prophet, fed him and cared for him when he was ill so we as muslims may take an example from it.....we must respect any other faith and as written in the quran....there is no compulsion in religion.....so for anyone reading this poem....I do not hate jews, or christians....I hate illegal settlements and injustice bloodshed and brutal violence. is that so hard to understand?

I hope I let you see it from my eyes, thanks for reading and commenting lynnsl.

now mamawmom......israel isnt a people first of all....u mean the jews are Gods chosen ppl right? if u are a christian, why would you be following the teachings of a faith you dont practice? why would u as a christian feel the need to support a faith u are not part of....if you are convinced that this is really the truth about them being chosen, why dont u become one of the chosen and convert.

Or is it that God contradicts himself in His own book? surely not....Why does America feel the need to step up and get involved, u know something....the rest of the worl thinks America should back off and give the world a break....who is America?....whats so great about America......to get where it is, it abused, murdered, tortured, uprooted, made all fear it, all for what, for the rest of the world to resent it?

America doesnt care.....sorry but if it did, they would not have double standards, why was it such a problem when iraq was a threat(nuclear weapons of mass destruction) but somehow, magically its all alright for Israel to have nuclear power??? somehow, it's ok for illegal settlement on Arab land......did u even stop and think what was the beginning of all this fighting over Palestine?.....when the jews suffered in the hands of Hitler, and they left their homes all over that part of the world, germany etc......they were all over the place, no where to go, no where to live.....so America with the help of the UN, thought it might be the easiest option to plop them all in a land where the ppl couldnt fight back (or so they thought) and America and the UN would be looked at as heroes for solving this great big problem.

so when a little cult evolved into a murdering gang they ripped homes apart, pulled families apart, and made cosy nesting ground 4 themselves....who stood up for the arabs?....then again, why would anyone stand up for them?.....they are just arabs right?....no rights, no feeling, what the israelis are doing to the arabs now is exactly like what  Hitler did to the jews.....it's all about POWER, not FAITH.

when the world finally realises that, it will hang its head in shame!

nothing....no Bible no Quran, no Torah.....justifies this fight, this murder, this injustice, if you support it, plz dont hide behind the screen of faith, u only will fool urself.

final note_America has beautiful ppl, with beautiful hearts, soft as a cloud, that's why its sad to see, the leaders, filling thier clouds with hate.....abusing kind peoples minds, forcing them to fear something they should respect, forcing them to only see what they choose for them to see, and hiding the good the world has to share....America took my people in a time of hardship.......from the famine times of Ireland, to the young libyan student who want better lives.....I appreciate that, and respect the American people for their kindness and welcome, the leaders?......they dont welcome, they judge, they assume, they have power...a true leader can have not a penny, yet lead a world.

thanks for reading and sharing ur veiw

love your poem mama.... and I don't want drama but in America's defense; wanted or not the people of America (and I'm not specifically talking about the govt.) have helped people all over the world and it has been accepted with open arms. Also, you are right in how America climbed to the top.... but really.... what other way is there to do it? And finally... if the world really does think of America as "America?? who's America??"  Then why do we STILL to this VERY DAY have immigrants from all over the earth??

Great Poem.  Giving you a Bump

The problem with most Americans is that they don't realize what is going on.  We need to stop Israeli War Crimes.

The Palestinian People are being OCCUPIED and THEY HAVE A LEGAL RIGHT TO FIGHT THEIR OCCUPIER!!!

So many of you think you are pleasing God....I can't imagine ANY GOD who wants these innocent people killed!!

SHAME ON YOU WHO SUPPORT THIS AND SHAME ON ISRAEL!

This is what the Bible says about God's Chosen People and Israel.

The Old Testament makes it abundantly clear that Israel's favor with God, even under the Mosaic regime, was conditional. The Hebrews were constantly warned of the consequences of disobedience. They could be disinherited as a nation and disfranchised of their land. The truth is, there are about as many Old Testament warnings to Israel as there are promises.

They broke their covenant with God and are now no more chosen than anyone else. Now, all who accept Christ are equal and chosen. There is not a  New Testament passage which speaks of the restoration of national Israel and the reinstitution of Judaistic ritualism, etc. The Old Testament prophecies which predict the literal return of the Hebrews to Palestine were fulfilled in the Jews' release from political captivity. Other predictions, which speak of a "restoration" of Israel, refer to a spiritual restoration to God through Christ. This blessing is for Jew and Gentile alike.

Just prior to Christ's crucifixion, the Lord announced to the Jews, "The kingdom of God shall be taken away from you, and shall be given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof". In other words, barren national Israel would be replaced by fruitful spiritual Israel, the church. For fifteen centuries the Hebrews were Jehovah's special people but when they rejected Christ that age of prominence ended. It was superseded by "the times of the Gentiles"-the Christian age.

Fantastic poem......No one who says they believe in God should "hate" another person because of the way they chose to worship God....Funny how some jumped on only the Israel part of your poem instead of the main topic of the poem.....

The word "israel" merely represents an illegitimate governmental body established to oversee an army that oppresses and kills another ethnic group.  The word "israel" has nothing to do with religion, and I am sure that God would not have wanted the suffering that has been forced upon the Palestinians for the last 60 years.  Anyone who thinks that has a twisted sense of religion.
