My Heart Is Welling Up With Joy!

Have you ever been at a place where you can't quite spot what your child excels at or not so much excels at but finds a keen interest in something so that you can nurture your child in that direction?

I have. My son, he's 14 years old, has been surprising the heck out of me lately!

He has shot forward in his bodyboarding skills and is really motivated to get in shape for it. This morning he got up at a little after 6am. While I was making my morning coffee he came sauntering to the kitchen in his surf shorts, hoodie, and running shoes. We talked a little about where his slippers could possibly have gone to this time. I thought he was wearing his shoes because he lost his slippers.

While I was walking to the computer with my morning coffee I heard someone running out in the yard. I looked out the window and it was my son running laps!!! Theeennnn he came in and made himself a lettuce salad!!! I'm floored with awe and my heart is sooooo welled up with Joy!

So, we'll see what life brings us next...can't wait!
