So ive been having some pretty bad symptoms lately. Gaining 13 lbs in 3 weeks, night sweats, muscle pain and weakness (to the point i can only hold my daughter for 5 mins or walk about a block before i hurt), headaches, severe stomach pain, going to the bathroom #2 like 4-5 times a day (tmi, sorry). always cold, itchy skin, tired constantly and chest pain.
I eat maybe 1200 cals a day if its a good day, my husband actually reminds me to eat. I eat healthy too, like whole grain breads n pastas, veggies, fruit. I eat chips and stuff too but not that often. I also excerise about an hour every day, plus chasing after a 7 month old and house chores.
The doctor completely ignored all of my symptoms but the gaining 13 lbs. He said the other symptoms are nothing, and all I need is a diet. He told me to go see a dietician and wont see me again for 3 months.
Needless to say I left there (with my baby) and sat in our truck and cried for like half an hour. Pretty bad when your baby has to see you cry. I sucked up my anger and called the dietician, hoping maybe she would tell the doc its not my eating, but it will take over 3 months to get in to see her...so im supposed to wait 6 months with all this going on???
So now my options are wait 6 months, or drive 3 hours to a medicenter. No doctors here are taking new patients, and if I go to emerg, it being a small town, good chance he will be there.....I am so upset its not even funny....

I tried to get him to test my thyroid...he refused and still insisted im just eating too much
Sounds like your thyroid and it also sounds like your doctor has his head up his ass. I would find another doctor pronto!

Do you feel like you're always saying "No" to your kids? Maybe it's time to have a "Yes" day instead.

Go to a different doc!!! You need to find someone that will listen to ALL of your symptoms....not just one of them. Have they tested your thyroid at all? Good luck and take care of yourself!
