My mother-in-law and aunt-in-law came to town for two whirlwind days :) We picked them up late Sunday nite (or early Monday morning, depending on your perspective), and for the next two days we went ev-er-y-where. We did a week's worth of tourism in two days, and I dropped them off at the train station this morning.
Day One I, silly woman I am, left my camera at home. BUT, I did remember it on Tuesday, so here's a few pics of us, and a few pics I took of the plant-life at Balboa Park, and even some zoo pictures.

The fish ponds outside of the Arboreum at Balboa Park

(I have no idea what kind of tree this was, but isn't it cool looking?)

(I love the contrasting colors in this one)

(it's not a bug, but a flower! an orchid, I think. Cool, no? That orange is amazing!)

(that yellow makes me smile)

Sorry, it was the best shot I could get from where I was sitting. Those tigers were huge! This pic doesn't even do them justice, not even a little bit.

Hello, Mr. Lion.

The Man

Me!

Us :)
And yeah, that's that!
Peace.

It looks like a good visit! I always love to see photos of you. :) Thanks for sharing. :)
looks like lots of fun. If I come visit you will you take me all those places too? :-P
Great pics. I love Orchids. We went to an Orchid Festival in Vegas once (well we went there for other reasons and stumbled upon the Orchids). Anyway I've been fascinated with them ever since. I'm afraid to grow one though, I'll just admire from afar.
I LOVE the orchids!
The Man looks very unhappy/pissed in all pics..what up wit dat?
You are beautiful!
LOL thanks, guys. The Man DOES smile, just not in pics. I always tell him, people are going to think you're this cranky, unhappy guy when they look back at pictures of you, and that gets him to occasionally crack a smile, but for the most part, he doesn't smile for the camera. His dad is the same way.
He really isn't an angry kind of guy- he's pretty mellow and laid back, and has a sense of humor that always surprises people because they don't expect it of him.
