Why??

I don't understand why?? Today got into an argument with my father and he was trying to tell me that I always want to be right...and than had the nerve to say the F word in front of my 15mo old daughter after I asked him nicely to stop and then what really hurt is he called me stupid in front of daughter twice. It's been thirty minutes and I am still crying. Why do parents do that?? I swear I will not ever put my daughter through what they have put me through. Granted yes my parents have been there for me before....but it doesn't excuse what he did to me. I just dont know what to do.

Does anybody out there know alittle something about this?
