Why do moms have to fight so much

 I just wonder why moms have to fight so much.  Why is it we have to be so defensive of ourselves?  Why can't we just understand that some moms do things their way and some do it another way?  So long as the mom is being a good mom does it really matter?  I am not saying to not be passionate about your decisions.  I am very passionate about breastfeeding, long term car seat use, lots of family time, not a lot of TV, homeschooling, and natural childbirth.  I believe strongly in these things and when I find out that a mom has decided to bottle feed I don't always understand it but that doesn't mean I like her any less.  It is OK for us to have our own opinions and passions but for goodness sakes ladies we have to be able to get along!  When we get our panties all in a ruffle over differing opinions it makes us look like "a bunch of women"!  We fall into that "oh, it must be that time of the month" category.  Lets try to get along with each other.  Let's show the world that we don't have to be catty to each other, that we can love and respect each other even though we don't agree.  Let's show the world that we don't have to be in competition with each other over every little thing.  Let's be confident in ourselves and our mothering abilities.  Let's stop pulling each other down just so we can feel higher.  We all do the best we can, well most of us do.  Let's make it a goal to put a smile on another mother's face today...even if she does have the exact opposite mothering style!!
