This little girl was only 7 yrs old and was abducted on Monday while walking home from school.  On Wednesday they found her body in Georgia.  This hits me eskpecially hard, because we lived in the same neighboorhood as we did a year ago, and went to the same school.  When we moved there, we looked up where sex offenders where and found over 30 in the direct area of the elementary school.  When I discovered this I made sure I picked up my dd as soon as school let out, and she was not allowed to be outside with out someone out there with her.  Call me what ever you want to call me, but my main job as a mother is to keep my kids safe and sound.  Now I don't blame Somer's mom for what happened to her,  we all do the best we can.  When my oldest dd was 7, she rode the bus home, I had a 6 weeker and an 1 yr old.  That was the only option for us.  Somer lived too close to ride the bus home,  and her mom was probably waiting for her,  I don't know for sure, I do not know Somer or her family.  But watching this tragedy unfold I will hold my 3 babies extra close.  So please say a prayer for the family of this sweet little girl,  I believe she had a twin and I know that twins have a special connection, please pray for her siblings.  And don't ever let your kids out of your sight.
