Has anyone seen my holiday “spirit“?

I used to love Halloween, the dressing up and candy, the decorations and scary movies.  

To me it has always seemed the official start off of the holiday season. 

As a mother of 6 , I had the perfect excuse to throw myself into  the decorations, costumes and jack-o-lanterns. My home and yard  were decked out in tombstones and cobwebs from the 1st of October .

But this year , well here it is a week before the big day and I still haven’t even  got a pumpkin! My two youngest boys had to drag me to Walmart to look at costumes for what may be their last Halloween trick or treating  seeing as they are 10 and 11 this year. 

I find myself in that weird limbo  place  The older kids have done  grown out of the trick or treating stage and the middle ones are off with their own friends and even the younger ones have entered the “ I’m too cool to take mom  trick or treating.”

It is down right depressing. I guess I just don’t know what to do . 

Are my adult children right am I getting too old for this ? 

And if I am then what is a 40 something year old, overgrown kid to do for fun?

maybe !!!!! Are you coming over here ... I found the decorations last night so gonna get them up this week.

ooooHHH we will come over sometime tomarrow :) I have to take estrella to Sufu for a dermatology apointment for her maliscum...but after that :) or before whichever works for you darlin :)
