I haven't written in awhile, but not for lack of things to write about!  Geez, my baby girl started kindergarten.  Yes, real school now!  Hard to believe we've come this far so fast.  I'm enjoying this time with her though.  I love to watch her mind grow.  She's so amazing!

And Logan, he's begun potty training with great success!  Everyone has a theory on when or how to do it, but I swear it's worked with both of my kids to just let them go at their own pace.  Around 18 months I buy the potty chair and let them get used to seeing it in the bathroom and sitting on it (with their clothes on if they prefer) and then about every two or three months from there start asking if they would like to try going.  But no pressure and no hounding.  When it's yes more often than not, that's when we really start.  I don't make them sit on it every half hour or anything like that.  I ask, they tell me.  Sometimes there's accidents, but I can count on one hand the number of times my daughter had one.  My son on the other hand has had a few more, but he's done so well that he's completely trained for daytime.  Now we start the night time training!

My husband and I just celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary.  May not seem like long to many, but with the trials we've been through in those 7 short years, this was a cause for celebration!  He planned everything.  He told me to buy a new dress, he got reservations at his favorite restaurant in downtown Chicago (Gene and Georgetti's), and booked a very beautiful room at the Avenue hotel.  It was great!  We shopped, we walked, we laughed and talked.  Just the two of us.  It was great.

Life's good right now, it's refreshing to get off my chest some of the good things life throws your way!
